Our services are provided free of charge.
When should I take a pregnancy test?
Experts recommend waiting a day or two after your missed period before testing. You’re also encouraged to take more than one pregnancy test.
Why do I need an ultrasound?
An ultrasound provides the following necessary information:
- Confirming that your pregnancy is viable. Experts estimate that as many as 26% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage.
- Determining how far along you are. This is essential if you are considering abortion. Up to 40% of pregnancies are dated inaccurately.
- Confirming the placement of your pregnancy. A pregnancy that is not located in the uterus can be life-threatening.
Do you offer support groups?
Our Mom’s Spanish Support Group meets Tuesdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and our Mom’s English Support Group meets Wednesdays from 10 to 11:30am. Free Onsite Childcare is available during group meetings. Call our office for more information.
We also provide a Good Father Group for dads. Call our office to see how you can participate.
Do you perform abortions?
Guiding Star Wakota does not perform or refer for abortion.
